	The proceedings of a workshop on weeds of rainforests and associated ecosystems, held in Cairns in November 2002, which was organised as a joint initiative of the Rainforest CRC and the CRC for Weeds Management. Weeds are a significant threat to Australian rainforests and associated ecosystems, yet there has been relatively little research directed at this issue. A primary purpose of the workshop was to identify research needs in relation to weeds as a precursor to developing a research program as a collaboration between the two CRCs.
